You can use POR 15 and fiberglass mat and it is better than resin because you can put it over rust and it will stick and stop the rust as well as fill the hole. I agree that fiberglass resin and mat suck, but we aren't talking about that.

But the mesh they sell is kinda crappy and it is pricey to. So you use the fiberglas matting instead of the POR 15 mesh. And it works a whole lot better. Paint the POR 15 on the surface, it paints thick. Then place the fiberglas matting over the POR 15.
