Trying to find Casting number 473483, and stamped number F0102DKB Please help. Thanks in advance.
Could not find it in search.

Just a suggestion....if you included a little bit more info on what you DO know about your vehicle/engine, some of the more knowledgeable guys might be able to help. My limited resources show the 6 digit casting numbers as being on some of the older engines. However, there were no 216, 235, 261 Chevy engines with the first number in the 4 series. I am editing my post because I thought you had an 8 cylinder (DKB is also an 8 cylinder suffix) but now believe you have 1973-79 or 1975-85 250 6 cylinder.

You'll find your casting number on this page if you look hard enough about half way down the page.

From the stamped number, I believe the

"F" = Flint production plant
"01" = January
"02" = 2nd day of month
"DKB" = 250 cid with TH350. (according to this nova site, look at the bottom of the page under "1979")

Someone may have better info to share but I think this will get you close to where you need to be.

Yes it did help. I found the sites and have added them to my Favorites. Thank you so much. That was what i was after. The engine is free and was removed from the vechicle,and with an unknown history. Have a great day.
