It's a 66 Burb, 292 manual steering, 2 wd. Does anyone know where a rebuild kit is available for these? I don't see it in the parts books, and I havn't found it at the FLAPS.

But, I did find that the Truck Shop in Orange CA, www.truckandcarshop.com does sell most of the seperate items, seals, bushings, bearings, etc. They have a pretty good selection on various items, and the pricing seems good. The one item of interest, is the gasket that goes under the side cover plate ( it's actually on the top of the gear box ). It is priced at 39.00, and I'm thinking it's got wire mesh reinforcing or something. Nope, it's basically just a plain old paper gasket, but it's GM NOS.
