Which rearend is everyone using as a swap for a 41-46 trucks or panels? I am adding a IFS with a 350/350 combo and was just wondering what rearend I should be looking for. I will keep it close to stock height and was looking at going 5 lug as the IFS will be 5 lug too. Any help appeciated.

I am using a 2002 4wd Blazer rearend in my '39. Same width as stock and has 5 lug Chevy pattern that matches front disc brake conversion. Plus it is a disc brake rear.

I used a 1979 Camaro rear end. I got the Z-28 so it was a 3.42:1

Don't use Camaro leaf springs. I used S-10 leaf springs.

But I have to add that my truck is not roadworthy yet and the bed is not on.

My '37 has a 1979 Trans Am 10 bolt, it had the 3.42 gear but I swapped it out for a 3.08. Width was the same as the '55 axle that was under it, no idea about original axle widths. I swapped the spring pads from the '55 axle since I wanted to use the original 1.75" wide springs.

I'm putting the rear out of my 69 Olds 442 in my 41. The stock 41 rearend width is within 1/2" of the Olds rearend. I'm not keeping the leaf springs though. 4 bar suspension here.

I've got a 76 Chevy 1/2 ton rear end under my 39, but it is a few inches too wide... I was able to bolt it in though...

I've got a Camaro rear end that i'd like to put in soon, but i'll need to weld on the spring perchs.

Another quality post.
