Now I'm trying to pull the bellhousing and I'm having trouble with that... I know there are 2 bolts are the top of it (which I have pulled), but there are 2 bolts underneith the bellhousing that I can't get too... I can't get in there to get any leverage at all... any ideas???

If the engine is still in the truck, and it has rear motor mounts on the bellhousing, decide how you are going to keep it up, so to speak! A block of wood and a hydraulic jack under the pan hasn't killed too many folks. Edit. Research indicates this engine is on a pallet on the garage floor Stuart

I just unbolted those 2 bolts underneith the rear of the bellhousing and its not budging.. obviously that's not what was holding it.. I don't see ANYTHING that would be holding it... uggghhh

Speed, when you removed it, you unbolted the 2 bolts on the outside and then the 2 under the bellhousing (the ones that are hard to get to)? And then you just hit it and it came lose? I need to get it off so I can take off the clutch, flywheel, etc... There is no way I can take that stuff off without first taking off the bellhousing.. pain in the butt!

You do not have to remove the bellhousing in order to remove the clutch and flywheel; as a matter of fact, you MUST remove the clutch and flywheel before you can remove the bellhousing.

When the pressure plate is off, you should be able to remove the flywheel bolts from the rear. But as I said, you don't need to remove the flywheel to change the clutch; inspect it visually with the pressure plate off. You shouldn't need a hammer to remove the bellhousing if you decide to do so, but I believe you will find at least four bolts behind the flywheel rather than just two.

I'll try it again today.. OH, on a side note, when I paint the engine that light color gray paint, is the bellhousing and tranny the same color gray?

Do a search on "stuck engine" or something similar for more info.
The correct color is a very dark gray for the engine and bellhousing, transmission is unpainted.
