I definitely know how you feel, somebody broke into one of my trucks last night :mad:

guess it could have been worse. another door & fender will just bolt on. ned that is one awsome panel, keep us updated.
garandboy, I hope they just broke a window & didn't pry the door open with a crowbar or something like that.

Those fenders are thick. You can probably straighten that out. Aren't you glad you were not driving a little ricer.

I don't know I took it off & tried straightening it today. while much better it still has a long ways to go. my metal working skills are improving all the time but I still don't have much experience with badly mangled stuff. don't matter now. I asked my lovely wife to hold the torch for me & she offered to buy me a new fender for christmas. since I know where another 1 ton is with a straight body I can get for 500 bucks, she's going to get me that instead. I think she's a keeper!

about a year ago, I was not so lucky...
from the truck's point of view, better off hitting what's in front of you than trying to swerve around it. These trucks do not swerve well.

he jumped out of the ditch straight into the truck. there wasn't time to think about swerving. unfortunately it happens quite often around here.
too bad about your panel. hope you weren't hurt.

dh53 that makes me ill seeing the panel on its side, did you get her fixed?

she became an organ donor. there was just too much metal work to make it worthwhile fixing. Her parts are now scattered about, including several members of this site.

The good news is that I was able to take the insurance money and buy another truck I really wanted!

I live in Texas hill country which is deer country. You should consider yourself lucky that you didn't get the grille, radiator and hood as well.

actually it did bend the grill a little but I think it'll straighten out. yeah it could have been worse but what makes me feel lucky is my lovely wife who bought me a parts truck for Christmas to fix it with.
