I have a friend who has a newly rebuilt 235 I can get very reasonable. Thanks! | | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 | Yes, it will bolt right in. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | The 1954 will have the exhaust exit the manifold at an angle back, the 47 exits straight down. The front timing plate will most likely need to be drilled for the front mounts. Easy swap.

Other than that, maybe the gas pedal linkage might be a little different, longer or shorter. Youll be doing a swap thats been done thousands of times, with just very small differences in the 2 motors. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 334 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2005 Posts: 334 | The 54 235 truck engine's front timing plate should not need to be drilled for the front mount, as the 54's used a front engine mount.
