The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk Bolt sizes needed threaded inner fender/grill

Does anyone know the bolt/thread sizes for the bolts that connect the outer fender to the threaded part of the inner fender? Also, the sizes of the bolts that connect the grill to the fenders?

I dissassembled this long ago and am hoping to mockup my front end before I start body work. I waiting to purchase a bolt kit till I do final assembly.

Stainless-steel and zinc-steel kits are available but they might not have the original cap styles and colors.

in the end, I will probably buy the stainless bolt kit. Right now, I'm just trying to figure out the sizes so i can go to the local hardware store to pickup a few cheap bolts for mockup.

I think i figured it out 3/8" bolts. coarse thread

5/16 X18 Most are that size on mine a 52-3100 there are some 1/4 20 on the bottom splash apron and on the top were the hood latch is ,but most are 5/16s.


For just mocking up You could just buy a bunch of 5/16 X 1 inch and some 5/16 X 1 washers.
