Any ideas?

Short wires/leads are often not included with a reproduction harness (but extra lengths of wires of different gauges are sometimes included). the dash lites are fed from the head lite switch thru the dimmer circuit when you pull the switch out to the frist indent the lites should come on some switches you'll need to hook up a dash lite HOT to that circuit on the head lite switch.
