| | | | Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 554 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 554 | When I attempted to mate my 1952 transmission to the bellhousing I discovered I had an "early" bellhousing with narrower transmission mounting holes. It also has holes for mounting the pedal assembly. I have since rectified my situation but would like to sell the early bell housing. The best I can determine from searching is that it will fit any 216, 235, or 261 engine. I also think it will fit any truck from 1940-53 but not really sure about that. The transmissions that will fit I am unsure about. Only 1940-46? Are these the same years that mount the pedals to the bell housing? Any confirmations or corrections would be appreciated.
