The Stovebolt Site Forums The Parking Lot Big Bolts Bleeder Screws for '66 C50

Anyone have the specs on the bleeder screws for the brake system on a '66 C50?

The one on the slave cylinder takes a 7/16 wrench and the ones located on the wheel cylinders take a 3/8. I want to replace a couple but don't know the thread size/pitch.

Hy Brian Lohnes, according to my parts book there are different part numbers depending on whether you are looking for front axle ones or rear axle ones, and then the size of the diff makes a difference on the p/ns as well.

I can tell you I'm looking for the one on the slave cylinder (Hydravac) and one for the rear axle, which is a single speed 15,000lb piece.

Hy Brian Lohnes, it took a bit of looking, but I think both of them have the same thread and length. They do have two different o.e.m. p/ns the wheel cylinder screw is p/n 5455122, it has 3/8" X 24 t.p.i. X 1 1/64", the Hydrovac screw is o.e.m. p/n 2261467 also 3/8" X 24 t.p.i. X 1 1/64", so I guess the difference in the part number is the size of the hex. Some crosses for those part numbers are Carlson H9402
