I was driving by the local scrap yard and saw this truck. I believe it is a 1935 but it has juice brakes. my 35 chevy truck does not so i am having them cut the front and rearend out. i also took all the emblems one obove the grill that says gmc and the ones on both sides of the engine cover. are these alot rare than the chevy
took the id tag from under the dash

1. did the 1935 gmc trucks have juice brakes
2. can i use them for my 1935 chevy
3. are the gmc emblem, hood badges and the vin or id tag worth anything.

Are you sure its a 35? and not an early part of the year 36? from what I know 36 was the first year of the juice brakes... but they did make the high cab for the first half of the year so maybe they had the juice brakes...

If you look in the doors of a high cab 36 the doors themselfs will be framed in steel unlike the previous 35's and 34's...

Thats my best guess.. sorry for being late to the reply i dont stop by all that frequently... if it were me.. id save the whole truck!

According to "GMC Heavy Duty Trucks 1927-1987" by James K. Wagner, Lockheed hydraulic brake replaced mechanical brakes on all models through 5 tons for 1935.
