I know the grey color is correct color for the 283s. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | Cars got the 327 in '62, but light trucks didn't get it until '65, and then only on 3/4 and 1 tons, 1/2 ton didn't get the 327 until '66.
On the answer at hand, the block stamping code is for a 307, which took the place of the 283 in '68. There was a WA coded 283 in '67, so we really need the date code from the block to be certain.
