I've just bought one of these
Does anyone know which wire goes where?
I've got an EZ wiring loom and the plug is slightly different.

This switch is an aftermarket Lucas copy.
I realise one connection will be the power in,and the other 2 are for dip/main beams.

I've tried all the usual searches without any luck.
Do any of you Brit car gurus have any wiring diagrams,this switch was used by Austim/MG/Land Rover etc....
I just don't want to let any smoke out of my new loom!

You will possibly need to remove the plug from the ezyloom and install insulated crimp/solder terminals. Dip switches have 3 connections (most common) one is fed from your headlight switch and the other 2 are for low / high beams connections. Trial and error maybe required none of this should create any smoke.

Thanks Andrew, I have already removed the EZ plug and fitted new terminals as I had to shorten the wires anyway.

I suppose I could have used a Delco switch which should have fitted right first time.
Problem over here is that the FLAPS guys throw a fit if it isn't a standard British car/truck part!
It was just easier to get a Lucas unit.

It looks like the dip switch doesn't care about which headlight is which, only the Highbeam warning light determines the connection.

I'm in the process of checking my connections,grounds etc.
I'll hook a battery up and give things a try.....
