When I look under the truck the shackle on the right side appears to be standing up better than the shackle on the left side I notice there are rubber bushings in these shackles could it be as simple as worn bushing when I measure it is a good 1/2" - 3/4" difference from the frame to the cab from one side to the other? Any sugestions, what else can I check?

These trucks (much like Jeeps) were generally driven by one person with no passengers. This is how the shackle system works. The shackles do not contribute to the cab sitting level and this allows the frame to move without twisting the cab. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 68 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 68 | When I bought my 50 3600 I too noticed the cab had a slight "lean". Turns out the front cab mounts were rusted through and could no longer support the weight of the cab. The PO had jammed pieces of 2x6 lumber between the cab and frame to support it.
