Not sure what fits, may have to make my own, using the stock bumper (same as the front) Found some in a yard from a 39 - will they fit frame and bumper or should I just make my own?

Only draw back is, they are soft and will bend very easy if hit. The stock brackets have some spring steel in them. Maybe you get yours heat treated or something if you bend up a set. The aftermarket ones may be just soft steel anyway, so it might not matter. Also, if you bend you own, you won't have the GM logo in the steel like the OEM ones do.
