I just bought a nice '87 2wd longbed with a fuel injected 350, pb, ps, and a tilt column and I would like to incorporate all of those things into my daily driver truck.

A frame swap is nevery a trivial exercise, even if you are just moving the body to an identical frame.
'63 is the first year of the basic suspension design that was used up to '87. Swapping that front suspension is one approach.
The rear suspension on the '63 could be either coil or leaf. I think if its leaf swapping to the '87 would be easier than a frame swap. Even if its coil the suspension swap might be easier.
You might want to start with a careful evaluation of the individual parts. A damaged frame, currently under either truck, could be the reason to swap or not swap.

It was not all that hard, but did require a lot of measuring and rechecking. You for sure have to do your math and think it through,. Turned out real nice though. And as i like to say anything is doable. Slider

It would get decent gas mileage with the fuel injection and the 700r4 trans. I just thought maybe it wouldnt be that hard to swap the body onto the '87 chassis. We'll see what happens when I start measuring!

It might be a couple months before I get going on that project. I need to concentrate on getting my '60 4X4 project done first but I will definitly keep everyone posted. By the way - love your '63.
