I went out to drive the '60 panel-
truck this morning.I put the key in the
ignition,and....wouldn't turn at all.I
messed with it for quite a while, but it
still wouldn't budge.
Then I got the bright idea of removing the switch from the dash.I started unscrewing the piece that held it in place, but it got to where it wouldn't keep unscrewing.
What should I do?What am I doing wrong?

You may need an ignition switch removal tool like my 57' Chev requires. You may be able to remove the tumbler by inserting a paper clip wire into the small hole on the face.

Mine has the hole that you can put a paperclip
into, but you have to turn the key to get it to release.
I finally got it out,but I had to pry the outside
housing nut off to get to it.Now I'll have to replace
the lock assembly.
