I was chatting with a guy on another forum for Hondas (talk about a swing size range, Hondas to Big Bolts) anyway, he said he is looking for wheels for his RV. Not sure what kind of rig it is, but he said his bolt pattern is 5 hole on 8" Budd wheels that are stud piloted. Does anyone here know what these could be? I'd like to help the guy out finding some or just learn more about them.

I was gonna post about them too, Grigg. The only issue with 22.5s might be clearance. If he instead needs 19.5s they were a bit more common on the 1970s era Dodge and Ford motorhomes. A lot of the Dodge Travco collectors look for them to replace their lock ring 17s. Stu

Thanks guys, he did say they came in 17, 19 and 19.5's. He would be happy finding any size that accommodates a tubeless tire. Is there a manufacturer that still makes them or a part number i can start querying in a search?

Any tubeless would be in the half inch sizes, i.e 16.5, 17.5, 19.5, and 22.5. Nobody makes normal looking ones today. A company called American Wheel Specialist in Pasco, WA, sells new wheels in the 19.5 x 6" size having the 5 lug x 8" pattern, but they have a much wider wheel face. We think they were designed to clear disc brake calipers. I can post a pic if you want.

Grigg told me his 22.5s are the 5.25" (4ea) and 6.00" (4 ea) sizes. That says they are the earlier ones made probably by Budd and should have part numbers 69930, 76310, or 76320 respectively. Could be K-H part numbers 40159 (5.25") or 41778 (6.00"), but I doubt you'd ever find those numbers since K-H only put them on paper tags on the inner mounting surface. The later 22.5s were made in 6.75" width and are Budd #s 72540 or 89810, or Accuride #27759.

If he wants the used 19.5s, the only manufacturer I've found having made them is Budd. The earliest 5.25" wide ones were part #s 72070 and the 6.00" wide variety were #s 73160, and most common #89340. Stu
