I would have enjoyed Patrick's SS exhaust to bolt to the dual Fenton's, but alas, they cannot be had. So down to the local muffler shop. I would like to come off the dual manifold and down quickly into a merging collector then one pipe back to a FlowMaster Delta 50 muffler and one pipe out. Here's the question:What would be the best diameter pipes? From the manifold, then just after the collector to the muffler, then out the muffler to the open end. 4 pipes total. Thanks

You could go bigger of course, so let's say 2 1/4". If you want to merge into a single exhaust, then don't make the single any less than 2 1/2". Personally, I'd keep it dual exhaust all the way back.

Maybe you're trying to be quiet? I think it may end up sounding like a tuner - no offense - I think it will just have more of that sound with a single outlet.

The local shop with a good bending guy can have all you done same day. You're really missing out on a cool sound if you don't have 2 pipes. Go with 2" if using 2 pipes. Curt B.

I think that "y" ing into a collector and a single pipe through a single muffler with a single tail pipe both defeats the purpose of the fentons AND might just make your truck sound like a tuner. I would like to hear it though - just to know!!! BTW The shop that did mine had it done in less than 3 hours and charged me $300.00 for 2" duals from the fentons and out the back. As you know, I provided the "dual in, dual out" muffler from Patricks.

Hooking up to dual glass paks might have that effect. I contacted FlowMaster to dial in a 'sound'. They are the ones that suggested the Delta Series Muffler. And here's the real question...is Patrick's really a two in/two out? Or does it just 'mix' the dual in and provide the appearance of a dual out? In other words; no net gain.

I was told it had a built in crossover by someone who didn't know. I could clearly see it was 2 separate mufflers in one housing when I got the muffler. It was made by Bazani. It will last a lifetime - at least mine. I had that "popping" sound during deceleration at first and I thought it was supposed to sound like that. Then my neighbor discovered that I'd left out the insulator gaskets when I replaced the carb. Now it's way smooth, no coughing and sputtering. A nice, clean and deep mellow sound. Quiet at lower RPMs.
