I called their tech line and they told me that the gasket set I got doesn't come with a rear seal for my engine. I wish I knew why. They gave me a phone number for the gasket company and they explained that the gasket I got was not for my engine. I've tried around town with no luck. The one listed at the chevy dealership is no longer available. My original had little "tails" on the bottom half, that fit into slots of the bearing cap. Any information on this subject would be appreciated.

It should be torqued to 10 ft. lbs. and then, tap the end of the crankshaft on the front or toward the rear. Now tap it in the other direction. This is suppose to insure that the upper and lower bearing thrust surfaces are lined up. Finally finish torquing it.
