1953 GMC 100 - hood missing post for latch

1953 GMC 100

So I just received my hood from Utah and I get it and it doesn't have the post to hold it to the latch. turns out I can't find one, cant see a picture.

So here is a shot in the dark, is there anyone out there in stove bolt who could give me the measurements of the post? I have a lathe, and I am a machinist.

I just don't want to waste my time trying to figure it out and re engineer the whole latch.

Put an ad in the parts wanted section and tell us what year, make and model. If it's an AD, I have one laying around somewhere.
