has anyone ever removed a dash from a 55-59 cab ??? whats the process i have a gmc big back window cab and i need to take its dash out and install a 57 chevy tk dash is it just spot welded???

yes it's "just" spot welded, in about a zillion places, including the brace bracket under and behind the steering column - look it all over with the windshield out and it should be obvious .... the process has been discussed in the forums a couple times, requires a proper spot weld drill and care not to mess up the flange that mounts the windshield rubber

I wound up having to use a cutoff wheel on the corners of the dash closest to the doors. Also, you'll be cutting spot welds on the sides under the dash. Just get a good metal cutting bit for those.
