I plan on adding drop spindles with disc brakes to the front and will be getting the whole new master cylinder and booster, so though would do the rear end at same time. Will also be going with a 700R4 tranny. | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | Since you're going to use an overdrive trans, I would suggest sticking with the stock rearend and adding an aftermarket disk brake conversion. That would be the easiest way to go. There are kits available, and if you want to convert to 5 lug, that's easy, too. Just swap to '71-'87 axle shafts, which are a bolt in after being shortened to the earlier axle length and regrooved for the C lock.
