I kinda bought a 1950 burban & just need to get it here. I am very familiar with the Task Force vehicles, but not familiar with the AD vehicles. Am I getting myself in deep water with this? I am not affraid of a challenge, but wondering how hard it is gonna be to find the parts I need. As far as the rear seat frames, I can Fabricate those myself if I can find a set to copy from. Any suggestions?

"kinda bought" I'll have to try that phrase out on my wife. No honey I didn't BUY it I only "kinda bought" it.

IMHO, the AD is simpler and more plentiful than the TF. You'll be OK.

Yeah thats how I explained it to her( LMAO). It should be here by sunday afternoon, Are the rear glass frames available somewhere? I want to keep this 50 suburban original cause it won't be a long distance driver like my other one.

If you want opinions regarding "I am not affraid of a challenge, but wondering how hard it is gonna be to find the parts I need", post what you need and you'll get a few responses/opinions.

There was/is a person who has posted that he made/makes 47-55 Suburban seat frames - maybe someone will post a link to that discussion?

Does "kinda bought" mean you stole it, or you still owe something on it, or that you have not finished negotiations?

lol, it gets paid for & picked up this saturday. So I guess until saturday its a "kinda bought", until it arrives on sunday. Thats how I explained it to my wife, that way she doesn't get mad on saturday/sunday because she has known it was a "kinda bought" until it gets here. Easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission sometimes.
Also, she has already got some pics from the internet trying to figure out some good colors it would look good in.
I think my "kinda Bought " is working hehehehe

You should call the previous owner and tell him"you kinda bought it from him,and you want your money back". LoL,that would be funny !!
I think you will be ok in finding parts, some just take patience and a wheel barrow full of money.
Will you post some pictures of your suburban, when you have some ?

Well the 1950 suburban got here. It isn't an ambulance although it is almost fully stock. Had a fulton visor, factory front seat with cushions, country horn, & guy threw in rear seat he had in his garage with cushions, luckily they look to be for TF suburban WOOHOO. Had all factory lights, although it hasn't had glass in it for awhile so it needs alot of work. Gonna do brakes tomm & take her for a spin. Hehehe. Will post pics soon
