I'm not sure if I should tell my bodyman to cover these spot welds up and make it smooth or leave them for originality?

They look kinda cool in paint. If you like a custom smooth look, then fill 'em. | | | | Joined: May 2008 Posts: 210 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: May 2008 Posts: 210 | Any pictures of yours jomichael? | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 946 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 946 | I will take a couple tonight. Mine is a 55.2, but it will look the same. On the bed sides, I didn't like how the metal was wrinkled at the top and wish I had used some filler to smooth them out (these weren't MarK pieces though). I will post picks of those too.

I liked the look so I left them showing. The truck would look just as good if they were smooth, so it's up to you. jomichael - Your truck looks fabulous! Bumpers came out nice. | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 946 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 946 | Thanks for the kind words Vern. I keep looking at those bumpers in awe, knowing how I sent them out, scratched, pitted, covered in epoxy and rust. Just incredible.
Green Farmer, I just called the body guy about the stake pockets, I thought I could live with them but now I see the finished product and I hate it. So much for trying to save money! Now its going to cost more to fix it. Lesson learned.
