No - not a gym,but a company that did
ambulance,etc.,conversions.
They did work on mine (circa 1960).Does
anyone know anything about this company?

I am very familiar with the companies there currently and for the past 25 years but not before except that a couple of them were in business then too.

Possibly Columbia Body Co (still around but they make dump bodies) and perhaps Northwest Truckstell which has sold several times but the great grandson now has Northwest Truckstell LLC. He is far too young to have been around in 60' but his dad would know. Everyone else is newer that I'm aware of.

I don't believe they still exist, but they did the upfit of my 55 1st series 3600 to NAPCO 4x4. I bought the truck in Salem in 92, and that's what the previous owner told me. They are listed in NAPCO News letters I have.

I spoke with a former GMC dealer from St Hellens WA today and asked him about you question. He said he was down there about 3 times a month. They built crew cabs and installed beverage bodies for him mid 60s.
