I am putting 292 inline into my truck and it has a camaro subframe in it. The motor is out of a 68 GMC truck.
Since I now have car suspension up front I need engine brackets that a camaro would have used for a six cylinder car. I already have the rubber frame mounts in place on the subframe. It used the long bolts about 6 inches. I need the engine brackets to go along with the lower mount.
I sure appreciate the help or tips in the right direction.
This is holding up progress and its frustrating.

I doubt if you will find any "adapters" that allow you to bolt the 292 right in. My understanding is the 292 motor mounts are staggered? Camaros 6's the mounts were straight across like a V8. I would strongly suggest you take some measurements to determine the exact location for the engine. Most likely you'll have to custom build the motor mounts. Hang in there, someone with more knowledge on the subject will come along and add more information I'm sure. Another issue maybe the oil pan clearance on the crossmember.

292 mounts are different from side to side , not like a 230-250 eng. camaro's never used a 292 so you may have to some fabricating. why would you use a camero subframe?

It was free from a fellow hotrodder and I have 3 kids to feed!Ha! Originally was going to run small block which would work out perfect and sits right in place but I decided to be different than everyone else, thus creating more work. Ha! I appreciate the info guys! Keep it coming.
