| | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 9 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 9 | I am putting 292 inline into my truck and it has a camaro subframe in it. The motor is out of a 68 GMC truck.
Since I now have car suspension up front I need engine brackets that a camaro would have used for a six cylinder car. I already have the rubber frame mounts in place on the subframe. It used the long bolts about 6 inches. I need the engine brackets to go along with the lower mount.
I sure appreciate the help or tips in the right direction.
This is holding up progress and its frustrating.

My understanding is the 292 motor mounts are staggered? Camaros 6's the mounts were straight across like a V8. I would strongly suggest you take some measurements to determine the exact location for the engine. Most likely you'll have to custom build the motor mounts. Hang in there, someone with more knowledge on the subject will come along and add more information I'm sure. Another issue maybe the oil pan clearance on the crossmember.
