when i bought my 65 GMC some yahoo decided that he wanted to put some extra gauges in with the other ones and it looks like you know what.My question is can i put a chevy one in there and what year would it be.My ignition is not in with the gauge panel any help would be appreciated

The problem is going to be the wiring harness. The dash would probably fit, but chasing wires would be a PITA. Check Jolly's GMC web site;

From a practical standpoint I don't believe any 60-66 Chevy gauge panel will fit in any 60-66 GMC. The opening in the GMC dash is wider and shorter. In the entire series GMC's only had two types of panels, the earlier metal pan with a small cluster in the center, and the later design with a plastic bezel.
