I just received a replacement stoplight switch for my '56. Even to my wife's non-mechanical eye it is completely backward from the original (electrical connections backward, spring loaded arm backward, mounting plate backward--an exact mirror image of the original). Do I just mount it backwards (connections facing rearward and arm about 1/2 inch off its orginal position on the brake pedal linkage or?????
Anybody else have this experience? I really should have brake lights for the trip to Riverside. And please don't tell me I need to learn Chinese to accomplish this install.
