Has one 2-bbl carb., new fuel pump--
Any suggestions? | | |

A fast trick...remove air cleaner, start engine and hold at 1500 RPM or so. Peg throttle WOT and slam hand over carburetor hard and hold it there until the rig dies.
Wait a few minutes and start the (flooded) truck. If anything was lurking in the idle circuit, like water, it is long gone.

Also make sure you are getting ported vacuum for the vacuum advance. If you have full spark advance at idle you will not be able to dial it in right.

The one barrel to two barrel adapters typically cause idle and low end issues.
Jon. Good carburetion is fuelish hot airThe most expensive carburetor is the wrong one you attempt to modify. If you truly believe "one size fits all," try walking a mile in your spouse's shoes! The Carburetor Shop | | |
