I have small brass based catch's (for lack of a better word) that mount half way up the left and right inside of my opening windshield (secured from the outside with 2 #8 screws) but I am not sure what they anchor to on the "A" pillars of the truck. My '40 has no such " catches ". Only thing holding windshield is the ( 2) top hinges, and the centre crank at the bottom. I wonder if someone has added these on to keep the windshield tight when closed ?. I have seen some '46's with a cam type lock on the inside face of the A pillar to " suck down " the windshield tightly when closed. My "46" but with a '41 cab has nothing other than the 2 top hinges and the windshield regulator (that I added, it didn't have one at all when I bought it). It leaks air like crazy but I just figure that comes along with the charm of having an open-able windshield. It is the anchors that I am having a hard time finding info on. It has been so long since I took these apart and a couple of moves too( so far these and inside door handles are the only thing coming up missing) I think the anchors for the catches have a bit of a triangular shape if thats any help.
