For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | I finally have my '55 235 runninng in my '50 Chevy AD and of course now have to deal with the too long water pump shaft. Because there are options,I'm not sure what may be the best solution. New pump, rework existing pump and/or buy the relocation plate? What has been your experience as to what worked for you?

I bought short water pump from Patricks and worked for me, just my experience.

Here is a good photolog og an installation from Fla54Chevy3100: http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2803060960090459121lrHQVUThe plate allows you to use an older water pump (shorter shaft) in the correct cooling location for a pre-55 truck. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | Thanks again! I think that's the way I will go. I was worried about the drilling, but instructions make it sraight forward.
