I am looking to make the same swap. Will a radiator from a '53 fit the mounts for a '54?

I did run into a '50 GMC in a junk yard once that had the bolts run in from the front and I fought with it for a couple of hours on a cold, snowy December afternoon. I don't remember exactly why they were that way but I do know that it wasn't the stock setup.
