I just used a couple flat head screwdrivers and a plier to pry it out (mangled of course).
Bought a new seal and tapped it in with a very very large socket.
Worked for me.

Get a shop or repair manual & follow step by step directions. On that model you have to pull the differential cover & remove the C washers to remove the axles. Than pull the old seals out like Colin posted.

Place the groove for the c-lock under the lip of the seal. Now swing the axle toward the opposite side of the seal from where you've placed the grove. You can now use the axle itself as a seal puller by prying the seal out. I use this procedure and it works every time.

If you compare the two brands side by side you will see a big difference. The C/R was flimsy and I thought it would bend when installing it. I had a part number but lost the invoice. Check the web site. I think it is the same part number for many applications. | | |
