The overflow tube is at the top of the tank and not on the fill opening. I wonder about the cap size, and have been running a 0 pressure type. The original radiator was a honeycomb type, but got "fixed" so much that I had the cooling tubes replaced. It cools fine. Just wondered what other folks know about these things. Can I use a pressure cap on it?(4lbs)

| | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | rads were 0 pressure into the 50's, 4# would be possible with a well rebuilt rad, but you'd have to move the overflow into the neck or it'll never build any pressure - OTOH, the advantage of the pressurizing is to raise the boiling point and it shouldn't ever run hot enough to require that if all is well

I talked to a rad. guy and he said the same thing. So will keep on truckin, the same ole way, keep my eye on the guage.
