I have HF HVLP kit, it was good for epoxy primer and even for top coat with 1.4 tip. I hated it for 2k Primer with 1.8 tip. It was not doing good at all and tool very long time. I need to buy a gun for primer gun very urgently.

Any inputs/thoughts appreciated

I did all my primer work with this $20 gun from HF.

Color was all painted with
this kit.

Thanks Fried Green, ok so that $20 bucks worked good for primer, I have the same kit for color and it is not that bad when I tried color yesterday on Firewall. That kit didnot work good for primer though

I also found that air pressure needed to be at or slightly below the mfg. recommendations. You will have to play with it some because the air is much thinner up here. You will also need a water trap in the Va. humidity.
