i recently got a complete bed for my 59 though i know the bed isn't from the 50s i have looked and can't find any rear fenders with the tail light pod protruding like these do for all intensive purposes they look just like my 59 fender with the exception of those and they are attached with philips head bolts in the bed any ideas what year this bed is? smile thanks

picture I found from profile The bed looks right at home. Maybe the taillights are just a good installation making them look original.

normaly i would say just go with it but there are several bed wood kits out there hate to order one and it not fit where the tail lights are in that photo behind them the fender are actually raised outward to support the tailights

I remember some taillight/fender discussion a few months ago. If memory serves (that has been touch and go lately) the discussion was about raised tail light mounts on mid '60 fenders.

I tried some searches but came up empty.

Maybe you can determine the year by calling Mar-K (405) 721-7945.

Their catalog has dimensions, here are the 1964.
A stepside bed has fenders attached outside the metal bed sides and a step extending from the rear fender to the back of the cab.
Short Stepside: Length of bed wood 77 1/8". Inside width of bed 50”.
Long Stepside: Length of bed wood 97”. Inside width of bed 50”.
