My front fenders are in fair shape but the bracket that runs from the top to the bottom where it bolts to the rear bottom has rusted just about completely away. I ordered the ones from LMC for both sides but do they go all the way to the top. What have you guys done? Its a 58 GMC 1/2 ton short bed.
Thanks
Larry

don't know about LMCs, but all I've seen of those pieces go about 1/2 the way up, enough to do a fix of that attaching point - make sure you treat the back side against rust or it won't last long, I spray them with high zinc weld-thru primer

I got those brackets from LMC today and you're right, they only go about halfway up the fender. Guess I'll have to some fabricating on one side. I found a fender for a 57 Chevy and paid $25 for it and it had a top half of the bracket and a lower patch panel on it. There is a slight difference in the shape but I think I can make it work.
