Hey Bloters,

I just bought a 1955 1st series, one ton. I want to get it on the road and I'm kinda in a hurry to find some modern wheels that will work. I read all the relevant posts my search came up with and I haven't found an answer yet.

Currently it has stock split rims on it, duels in back. I don't have a local shop that will deal with split rims and I'd really like to get radials on this truck.

I've tried three sets of 16" wheels I had access to with no luck, none of them clear the steering. I'd prefer a bigger wheel diameter than 16", but I'm all ears for any and all help with what wheels will work and what trucks they are found on.

I like the duels in rear, but I'm not opposed to singles either.

Thanks again guys and gals.

19.5" wheels will likely fit.
Check junk yards and look on step vans among other trucks.

Some info here, check the Accuride Catalog link and you'll find part numbers if you want to order new wheels.

Do you know what vehicle your 19.5's came off of? Also, I know modern duely trucks have wheels such that, all six are interchangeable. Is this the case for your wheels? I'm really just concerned about clearance for the steering.

Thank you for you help gmguy!
