Even after replacing the cap, you still have codes so, I picked up the Innova 3100 OBD2 Diagnostic Tool. It took 15 seconds for this little wonder to clear the codes and I have been good to go for over two weeks now. Thought I would share this info. for those of you have OBD1 OR OBD2 daily drivers. Curt, there are a lot of cheap options and you get what you pay for with these things, this has support and c.d. with code reference for those not in the device. I want the best bang for my buck, just sharing this for those that might need it. I remember seeing a code reader only for $20.00 at one point, but they are crap and that is not what I was talking about here.

Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 | Not saying the autoparts store is always the best option, but when you already know the problem and solution (like left gas cap off) and you just want it cleared it's an easy and cheap way to go about it. For those with Volkswagens this is the best tool available for this sort of stuff. http://www.ross-tech.com/Can also log Data while running/driving, for example boost pressure and requested boost. It will check timing, and countless other things, it's way more useful than I know what to do with yet. Gives lots of information, and clears codes. Example: hooked it up to my wifes car, 03 Grand Prix SE. It showed that it did 0 to 60 MPH in 9.8 seconds. Kinda KOOL I think.
