Anyone know what year the 250 L6 went to an integral head? I'm about to start shopping the bone yards for parts and don't want to end up with stuff that won't fit.

I,m gonna say about 75 cause my 74 was the old style and a buds 76 had that darn boat anchor head on it

Yes they came out in 75 but not on all models. It shouldn,t be a problem though. The difference is quite obvious. They had some really weird configurations of polution devises on some of them.

wasnt real common til the 80s though

most were non-integrated through around 81

Looking at them side by side it's easy to see the difference, but talking to someone over the phone while searching for parts (like a complete power steering bracket setup) is a whole 'nother matter. This information helps me tell folks what year range to look at for the parts I'm trying to scrounge. Thanks all.

after wrestling with a 250 and the intergrated head for a bit it is now serving very well as a mooring for my boat.
