For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 22 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 22 | I found a prefab. stainless, dual exhaust setup for Fenton headers. The description said that it only fit 1/2 ton trucks, and not 3/4 ton. Is there a difference in the engine bay, or is it the length of the truck that is different between the two? the length is the difference (with respect to the exhaust setup)

So, I could install the pipes from the Fentons, with the muffler, and then would have to adjust or lengthen the pipes from the muffler to the tailpipes. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | wes,
Someone with a short-bed and long-bed will have to respond. What you will have to lengthen depends on where the 3/4 ton axle is located, compared to the distance to the bumper and the distance to the muffler (assuming the short-bed and long-bed mufflers go in the same location).
