Just a thought.....you didn't mention what engine you were going to use 1112304 in. You might want to verify that the drive gear matches up with your cam....pre-54's were forged cams, 54's and newer were cast cams.
www.secondchancegarage.com/public/373.cfm has an engine spec page that identifies various components. I browsed their info and couldn't come up with your number.....although 1112403 is a common later-model distributor that fits most applications from 54-60. You might want to check it out.
Can't help you with the specific grease...I use a high temp.general-purpose and very sparingly. Hope this helps.
