Just got my 65 shortbed stepside. Want to identify which engine it has. All ifo I found said number is stamped behind the distributer. I found the number but still don't know what engine it is. F49117o I think the last letter is an O as in Oscar not sure. Model or S/N is C1445A114190. Thanks for any help.

That engine # does not match the listed #s for 65. Might not be original.

it's a straight v6. bought from original owener who passed away and his wife sold truck and said engine had never been replaced.
