It has fenton split header and fenton dual intake. I got the fuel ait mix dialed and the idle nice and smooth. I took my battery off to give it a charge and today when I started it back up gas was pouring out of the where the linkage hooks up. Why would this happen now and not before. It started at the front carb and now is leaking at the rear. By the way carbs have been rebuilt and the floats were set what I thought was right. So what did I do wrong or what happened.

Try tapping the carb where the fuel inlet is with a wood handle end of a screwdriver. This will free up the valve if it is indeed sticking. Good luck!

What carb?

Gremlins and things that break , get out of whack, and just fail overnight for no reason!!

Check float settings carefully - by the book to start. Then set little low if still floods. Could be too much fuel pressure, old carbs such as stromberg didn't like anything over 2+1/2 to 3 lbs. Chevy pumps put out 5-6. Put on an adjustable fuel pressure regulator before the carb.

I took the carb apart ant when rechecking the floats again I noticed gunk in the needle seat. That cleaned out and whammo it is no longer leaking and running again. Thanks again for all the help this site is great and saved me a number of times. Little Horse
