I was just wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to resleeve a 235. The one I have is in rough shape, but the pistons are fine and I would like to reuse them if at all possible. :confused:

From a machining standpoint, I would say it is possible. From a common sense standpoint, I would put it right at the bottom of the list.
If the bore is shot, the pistons are shot too!

But, that would probably cost a lot more than just boring and new pistons. Sleeving requires boring, honing to sleeve o/d, pressing in the sleeve, and then honing the sleeve to size. A lot more labor than just boring and honing.
If your rust isn't too deep, a glazebuster type hone with lots of oil ( I use diesel ) to keep the junk washed off might clean it up. Try one and the measure the amount removed. | | |
