on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 502 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 502 | Hey all, I have a 1949 chevy 3600. I added the second tail light to this truck. It has a new wiring harness(the pvc coated reproduction of the original) stock tail lights, mounts etc. The bulbs in the passenger side taillight only get a mirror like coating on them after a while, and it gets so thick that you cannot see the light coming thorugh except at little pin holes around the glass to brass area of the bulbs. It is only on the passenger side, and it does it with every set of bulbs I have tried. I have started just carrying bulbs to replace them when they get to dark. Any ideas? | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 |

If all of them are from the same box you may have got a bad bunch. There is some cheap stuff out there. If water is getting in & hitting the bulb when it is hot will cause this to happen.
Your neighbor, George They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though.
