At what concentration does the solution need to be mixed with water?
Does the engine need to be warmed prior to application?
Any other info that would be helpful...

If you clean the crack thoroughly and maybe grind it smooth for about 1/2" on each side, a product called "Marine-Tex" is about the best product I've found for crack repair, better than J-B Weld by far. If there's much pressure in the cooling system, even Marine Tex will seep after a short time. Welding or brazing is the only effective crack repair, or a process called "sewing" where overlapping threaded plugs are installed.

He deliberately cracked the Caterpillar block, though, by getting it too hot in one place and letting it cool too quickly. I've brazed several cracked blocks by controlling the heating and cool-down better. Arc welding a block is very tricky, but doable.

There is a pinning and welding process I have saw some place but do not know much about it. If it were me I would try and locate a used or MAYBE a new head from one of the in-liner places but that would be a long shot at best.
